Privacy Policy

KlariVital ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal health companion for iOS, Android, and desktop. This policy explains how we handle information when you use KlariVital.

Summary

• Local-first: Your health data (vitals, activity, symptom checks, routine, family contacts) is stored primarily on your device.
• Encrypted at rest: Health data and account credentials are encrypted on your device (AES-GCM), with the encryption key held in the device Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android).
• No cloud account required: We do not operate a central server that stores your health records.
• No sale of data: We do not sell your personal or health information.
• Free 14-day trial: Every account gets a free 14-day trial of KlariVital Plus; the core app remains free to use afterward, and Plus features are billed only through the Apple App Store or Google Play, never collected by us directly.

Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the app, the following may be stored locally on your phone or computer:

• Account profile (username, display name, optional email and phone for password reset)
• Health vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, sleep, weight, steps, mood, notes)
• Activity and step-tracking data
• Symptom check history and assessments
• Daily routine, medication reminders, and notification preferences
• Family/emergency contacts and shared health summary text you create
• Accessibility and language preferences
• Optional profile photo (stored as image data on device)

Information we do not collect centrally

We do not upload your health vitals, symptom results, or activity history to KlariVital-operated servers. There is no automatic cloud sync in the current version.

Device permissions

The app may request the following permissions to provide features:

• Notifications — health alerts, routine and medication reminders
• Motion & fitness / activity recognition — step counting and activity tracking
• Photo library — optional profile picture
• Microphone & speech recognition — optional voice search (if enabled)
• Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint — optional quick sign-in; credentials stored in the device secure enclave/keychain

You can deny permissions; related features may not work.

Sharing you control

When you use "Share", email, SMS, or family alert features, you choose what to send and to whom. That content leaves your device through your chosen app (Messages, Mail, etc.) — not through our servers.

Backup and export

You may export a backup file (JSON) to your device or files app. You are responsible for securing that file. Importing a backup overwrites local data for your account on that device.

Children

KlariVital is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

KlariVital provides informational content and self-tracking tools only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider. For emergencies, call your local emergency number (e.g. 911 in the US, 112 in the EU, or 999 in the UK).

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
